the ly family

The last few weeks has been crazy busy as I prepare to leave for my humanitarian trip, but I told myself I have to at least squeeze in one more post before I take off, so I am very proud of myself at the moment :)

I loved this mini session with the Ly family. We made it just in time for the beautiful leaves at the University of Washington and finished the shoot right before the rain started to pour. Plus, we ended up with a bunch of good photos. Score!

elle | when she was a little peanut

Remember Miss Ella Bella? I've been photographing this little peanut since she was only a few months old. However, I'm finally getting around to her pics because there were over 1,000 of them to sort through. Yes, you read that right - 1,000!

So here's some fun images from my every day photo adventures with Elle when my family babysat her. I'm shooting another family session with her, and I can't wait to show her off to you :) She is such a big girl now.

P.S. Did I mention Elle has a new baby sis named Julia? And she's just as precious. Stick around for more cuteness overload!

ie's 2012 reader's choice award | special events

In its 3rd annual Reader's Choice Award, the International Examiner (IE) hired me as their photo booth photographer. I had so much fun that night. It was an nice meeting all the inspirational public figures in the community as well as catching up with my family from KING TV, AAJA and Miss WA USA organization. I also got in a few shots with them (thanks to Larry, Lori Matsukawa's hubby), which rarely happens cause I'm the only photag. :)

But here at this special event, IE highlighted community favorites in over 50 categories, including Arts & Entertainment, Food & Drink, Businesses, and People. Voted by the Asian Pacific American Community, a community dinner and ceremony was held to recognize these individuals, businesses, and organizations.

The night was a HUGE success thanks to IE's event manager, Helen Wing. I was very impressed with the all decorations, food and desserts, and overall, how smoothly the event went. She knows how to throw a party!

P.S. Helen - Thanks for providing the rad backdrop and fun props. You're the best!
